The House and Garden
Boat Garth was originally 3 cottages, and has been converted to an impressive home. There is a generous drawing room and sitting room, both have exposed beams and fireplaces. The open kitchen/living room is at the heart of the house and opens onto a terrace, and the west facing garden. It may be possible to extend the ground floor into the integral garages, creating further living accommodation.
To the first floor there are 4 bedrooms, 2 with en suite shower rooms and a house bathroom. There are lovely views to the front over the village green, and to the back over the garden.
The house is approached over the village green through gates where there is lawned garden, ample parking and two garages. The back garden is terraced and leads down to the River Swale, with established beds and a platform overlooking the river. The back garden benefits from a useful outbuilding which extends from the garage.
There might be an opportunity to further develop and extend the house, subject to any necessary consents.
